Last night PPS won the accolade ‘Business of the Year’ at the NatWest Venus Awards in Birmingham. Paul Brown from Ernst and Young presented the award to Kirsty Davies-Chinnock with a fantastic introduction where he praised her leadership and dedication and the ambition of the Company.
The extremely glamorous and exclusive ‘social event of the business calendar’ – the Venus Awards Ceremony [dubbed the Working Women’s Oscars] took place in the world-renowned ICC on Wednesday November 26th, 2014. The Awards drew over one thousand nominations, dozens of sponsors and supporters and, in so doing, recognises and rewards the very special women of the Birmingham region.
Deserving Venus National Winners join an exclusive and elite bunch—crowned from the cream of the crop, they compete across the national landscape of Venus Winners in their specific categories. The National Finals are being held in Audleys Wood, a superb Hand Picked Hotel on the 23rd January 2015. The room will be filled with the winners from the 2014 series of Venus Awards which were held across 8 regions.
Kirsty was nominated for this award by many people in the West Midlands and she was overjoyed to win. In typical fashion she used her speech to champion the cause of Engineering and Manufacturing as a career choice for young people.
